Protoform Formula Vee

A Nationally competitive car that has been to the SCCA Runoffs five times with Tim behind the wheel. The Protoform, like all Formula Vees, is based on the 1965 Volkswagen Beetle, using the 1200CC engine, swing-axle transmission, and front suspension in almost it's entirety. Light and nimble, cornering forces can be upwards of 2G's and has a top speed of about 120mph.

1993 Saab 900

 

Bought in 2008 for a mere $275, this Saab runs the Street Legal 2WD class of the AMEC Ice Racing series with Tim and Brian behind the wheel (best finish 6th place by Brian).  It is also the autocross vehicle used by Brian and Renee at the CART events.  In addition, the Saab is driven daily.




1986 Saab 900 LeMons and 4-cylinder Enduro Car

Car owner Eric Nelson introduced Tim to 1/4 mile high-banked oval racing at Monadnock Speedway in September 2008.  This offered Tim the chance to try a different style of racing, and there was no way Tim was saying "no".  He is now officially hooked and is hoping for more time behind the wheel.  In 2010, "Norman", as this car is known to many, was provided to us by Eric and Tim spent countless ours making it race worthy and giving it a new look.  Having raced LeMons events for other teams, Tim decided TeamRemmers would enter Norman in the 2010 New England LeMons event and our drivers would be family members.  In the meantime, Tim made sure he got Norman out on the track at Monadnock for their 4-Cylinder Enduro events.  Many of the events were rained out at the beginning of the season, so Tim didn't run as many races as he had hoped.
